Sites that offer flash generally offer non-flash and should! Those that don't obviously run the risk of losing the visitor - forever.

Like Fabio, I think when flash is used in moderation, it can do wonders to the look and feel of a website.

As Internet surfers obtain greater broadband accessibility flash will be a more prominent and common use - but again, I think it will need to be done in moderation, when/where applicable, and still need to offer non-flash site content for those who simply don't want to deal with it.

SEs are getting better at indexing flash, so I don't think that will be an issue in the very near future. However, what will be interesting is to see how blackhats try to exploit the bots ability to index the flash - will it become the next item for scrutiny?

Good topic - look forward to more opinions!
