People hate popups. Period. I'd recommend trying a place like Commission Junction if you're going to try any sort of ads.....but keep in mind, if these are students they most likely won't have a lot of disposable income (although I happen to know that the parents there will ). Depends on what kinds of ads you come across tho, you never know.
Something else you might consider is a PayPal donation button somewhere on your forums (like at the top) -- I'm sure there are plenty of students and faculty that could give a dollar here and there, so you might have better luck with that....... |
