Thanks for the input, guys! I've been hanging out at the LucasForums for almost a year now... they've been using popups and banners, but 80's point about people hating popups is well taken..... I have my hosts. file updated to disregard most of their advertisements and I kill the popup quick.

I'm just toying with the idea of a message board at the moment... mostly out of frustration at not being able to locate the used books I know are out there. I'm sure that it would not be in the university's best interest to host it, so I've got to find an alternative..... one that will have a balanced budget.

Thanks again for the info... I'll check the resources you both mentioned and the paypal donation button is a wonderful idea.
