I do not agree with you. IMO, having a yardstick against which you can measure your earnings is helpful. There are so many phony ads promising you "the moon" that knowing what others are actually earning is a reality check. And I have not seen anyone responding to Bushman's question "bragging" about how much they are earning - to the contrary!

Based on my short history with the members of this forum, I tend to believe what they tell me as thusfar, I have no reason to believe otherwise.

I had a senior dating site thru Friendfinder. Even though it was #1 in Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines for popular keywords, I only averaged about $300 per month. I sold it recently and am sorry to see that the site buyer has done nothing with it. No updates, no maintenance, and it is losing
its rank. I also have an adult site (not porn) and am probably the only one online making very little money with it.

At this moment, my main source of online earnings is thru writing content. However, I am planning on an informational site which should do well with Adsense and other advertising.
