| For me, it depends on the context of the conversation or the sentiment that I'm trying to convey. Generally, I say "Happy Holidays", not out of concern for political correctness so much, as being general to cover the season. Okay, it's also a bit about being lazy .... Merry Xmas and Happy New Years is just too many syllables. However, I will admit that I try to be cognizant that not everyone celebrates the same thing or the same way and that's another reason for Happy Holidays ... America is a great melting pot of many cultures to wit I thoroughly embrace, so whetehr someone orginates from Africa, Arabia, Isreal, etc. Happy Holidays is a nice sentiment without being specific.
