When I was a child - back in the caves - what was considered "Porn" then would be considered absolutely nothing now. I remember looking thru my mother's paperbacks for a passage or two that was ambiguous at best. There were no actual descriptions and I had to use my childish imagination. Actual sexual words were not in use in books.
There was a talk show host Jack Parr who used the words "water closet" on tv and this caused an incredible scandal. Really! The man had to apologize on tv and he was in tears.
Married couples like Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore as well as Luci and Desi slept in twin beds with a night table between them.
And now we have Jerry Springer...........yech! And Howard Stern! BARF! |
