I think they know when they've been beat... they have tried several dirty tricks IMO that's why they are losing market share...
for example... the spyware pre-packed into the new yahoo messenger downloads... (that's hard to remove, and normal people can't!)
and on Yahoo.au when you'd preform a search for "Google" the Try Yahoo search box was hand coded to pop up above the google link! That's just a sad and pathetic way to try and out smart your competition if you ask me... I think a lot of other people see it that way too... If they would work on providing free quality services they would gain market share...
For example: the Yahoo directory - Currently SUCKS! put some resources into that instead of charging $300.00 for inclusion or a free option of maybe never! That to me would make a huge difference in the relevant results that they provided and might even get some market share from Google!
