Hey Jasper... do a test, for me...
find out what your two most entered and exited pages are... then take your adsense code... tweak the hex#'s to match your site EXACTLY! (border, background hex should match the site's hex... text should match page text hex, and titles should match the title hex's see if that increases your CTR at all... I get 20+ % CTR on most sites after chaning that...alone, but this rabbit whole goes quite aways
