Personally, I like my laptop. I have a roll-up keyboard that does wonders on the road - once I get there I flatten it, hook up a mouse, and away I go. But I do find myself liking the touchpad more and more - I can get around quicker with it than a mouse, so I have a touchpad on my PC as well as a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.

As for the screens, there are usually adjustments with the power saving that can make it much brighter. OLED technology makes them look a lot better, too. But the batteries go pretty fast if they use a bright screen on a laptop, so I usually end up hooking mine to a regular LCD when I'm using it for a long time and I'm not away from home.

They take some getting used to, but the only real advantage is portability. But as far as that goes, get a good sized USB HDD or Flash disk and you can simulate that same portability.

Brian.
