There are lots of niche sites and forums that have areas of interest outside the niche, so the "it's not webmaster related" points honestly don't float well for me. If we're going to hold to our guns and discuss only webmaster related topics, then delete the Lounge and other off-topic areas ... but, you'd see a huge drop-off in participation I'd think. That's not to say that the site's focus should be allowed to detour, change or be overwhelmed with an off-topic section like politics either.
